Deere Reports First-Quarter Earnings of $204 Million for 2009

Logo John Deere Deere & Company announced worldwide net income of $203.9 million, or $0.48 per share, for the first quarter ended January 31, compared with $369.1 million, or $0.83 per share, for the same period last year. Worldwide net sales and revenues decreased 1 percent, to $5.146 billion, for the first quarter compared with $5.201 billion a year ago. Net sales of the equipment operations were $4.560 billion for the period compared with $4.531 billion last year.

AGCO Reports 4th Quarter 2008 Results

logo_Agco.gif AGCO (NYSE:AG), a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, reported fourth quarter net sales of approximately $2.2 billion and record net income of $1.08 per share for the fourth quarter of 2008. Adjusted net income, which excludes restructuring and other infrequent expenses (income), was also $1.08 per share for the fourth quarter of 2008. These results compare to reported and adjusted net income of $0.82 per share for the fourth quarter of 2007. Net sales for the fourth quarter of 2008 were flat compared to 2007.

Kuhn Expands Facilities in the U.S. and France
